Thermal EOR

Heavy and viscous oil fields require a change in mobility of the crude. Thermal EOR is the way to make heavier (more viscous) crude mobile by heating it up or even vaporize it. This is done by injecting steam or combust it in the reservoir.
The steam can be injected under high or low pressure both creating a different flood pattern. In situ combustion air is injected to accommodate the fireflood.
